Leadership Philosophy Statement
Leadership is defined as the as the action of leading a group. For my career
choice of a head golf professional at a golf course it is important to be a strong
leader. I like to base my leadership style off six characteristics. The first
characteristic of the six being honesty. It is important to be an honest leader so
the people below you can know what to expect, and they can trust what I am
saying to them. This also its important to be a trustworthy person so that people
working for me can trust that I have their best intentions in mind. Having good
integrity as a leader is also very important so you can create a good reputation
with your workers. Being responsible is important so everyone can have good trust
in you from your bosses to your coworkers. I think it is also important to show the
people that work for you that you are hard working. It helps show them that you
care about the work that is being done and that you arent just sitting around
telling people what to do and not doing anything your self. The last characteristic
that very important to me is to be confident in your ability and your coworkers
ability this helps create a trust level and a belief in what the leader is saying.
Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe said it best when he said, A great person
attracts great people and knows how to hold them together. This quote is very
important when I think of what a leader is and what type of leader I want to be. I
think this is the case because I strive to be the best person I can be and as a
leader I expect the same from the people working for me. For me I think you cant

ask a person to perform and be the best they can be without you as the leader
doing the same.
