Introduction
a. Start broad, but limited to the field of your particular texts
b.
c. Finish narrow
d. Explicit Thesis
statement: The ads
that I am going to
analyze are from a
Diesel Power
magazine, they all are
showing us how
strength or power are
better. They do
this by comparing
certain aspects of
the products they are
selling to different
things in our world, I
will analyze how this affects the reader and why they advertise in this style.
II.
III.
is just saying that when you protect your truck with oil then it will
have power!
iii. When I see the ad it catches my eye because it is a 6.7l Powerstroke,
and that is what draws me in, then up top it says Protection Means
Power this makes people want to buy this product because they want
their truck to have power, when the product that they are selling is not
going to make them have any more power than any other oil.

Body Point #3
a. Topic sentence(s)
i. The finial ad that I will analyze is the ad for Warn
winches.
ii. In this ad the context they are trying to give you is
that these tools have the capacity to do what ever you
do. So no matter how strong you are they are just as
strong or however long you work they will work the
same time as you. When it comes down to it they
winches can only do so much so you as a person would be able to have
a very larger capacity for work then a winch.
iii. My interpretation of this text is that the winch can do what every you
want it to because it says Their Capacity For Work Rivals Yours
and when people read that is tells them that the winch can do
whatever they can do so no need to worry about it not being able to do
what they want it to.
