First Memorable Snapple Ad Campaign

First Snapple ad campaign to achieve any real attention was the


"Snapple Lady" commercials (featuring Wendy Kaufman).

The first "Snapple Lady" commercial ran in 1992.

These commercials consisted of the Snapple Lady answering letters


purportedly from fans. These commercials were immensely successful,
leading to a series to attempts to copy their success by rival businesses
like Coke and Pepsi.

This eventually led to Snapple's catchphrase, "The best stuff on Earth."

Coke and Pepsi both decided to run opposing commercials against the
Snapple Lady advertisements.

To combat this, Snapple began boosting their radio marketing. The


Snapple Company had a 15 million dollars per year advertising budget
and they decided to spend it on hiring radio jockeys to promote their
product.

Year of the Stunt: 2005

The Stunt: Snapple attempted to erect the


world's largest popsicle, made of frozen
Snapple juice, 25 ft tall and weighing 17.5

tons, in Times Square. But the company


didn't count on the 80-degree weather
and the frozen tower melted, sending kiwistrawberry-flavored fluid pouring onto the
streets of downtown Manhattan.

Lesson Learned: It's pretty obvious, isn't it?


Stunts take a lot of planning. If you forget to
account for the weather it can really melt

your plan.

Snapple | Dye Hard Tour

Snapple partnered with Manic Panic Company to sponsor a National promotional tour to launch a great new LinkedIn product,
DYEHARD Temporary Hair Color Styling Gel.

Snapple Dye Hard Tour featured a vintage 1961 Globetrotter airstream, retrofitted into a custom traveling barbershop built by
Turtle Transit. Tish and Snooky, owners of Manic Panic, tasked Turtle Transit to create a whimsical yet Willy Wonka themed
design for the airstream.

While guests enjoyed their makeover, they were offered a variety of Snapple beverages to sample at the Hair Stream

Snapple reported over 70 million PR impressions during the 13 city extravaganza.
