Conclusion

A learning style is not in itself an ability but rather a preferred way of using ones
abilities (Sternberg 1994). Individuals have different learning styles, that is, they differ in
their natural, habitual, and preferred ways of absorbing, processing, and retaining new
information and skills (Reid 1995: viii). Students preferentially take in and process
information in different ways: by seeing and hearing, reflecting and acting, reasoning
logically and intuitively, analyzing and visualizing, steadily and in fits and starts.
Based on the findings of the study, it can be concluded that most UTHMs students
prefers visual learning style. The definitions of visual learner is think in pictures and learn
best in visual images. They depend on the instructors or facilitators non-verbal cues such a
body language to help with understanding. Sometimes , visual learners favor sitting in the
front of the classroom. They also take descriptive notes over the material being presented
( Ldpride n.d ). Understanding how their learn and what methods of learning style can help
them understand how their learn can help maximize time them spend studying by
incorporating different techniques to custom fit various subject, concepts, and learning
objectives.
In conclusion, every students prefers different learning styles and techniques. Apart
from visual learning style, some students find that they are auditory learning style. Some
students also find that they are kinaesthetic learning style. Everyone process and learns new
information in different ways. The first objective of this study was achieve through the survey
that had done by distribute the questionnaire to participant to know what types of their
learning styles. while, the second objectives of this study was achieve with a pie chart that
had been built to show differences percentage between three learning styles that UTHMs
students often use.
