Description

Thisemployeeisaskilledworkerperformingrepairsandmaintenancetoawiderangeof
heating,refrigerating,ventilating,andairconditioningsystemsinCitybuildingsandfacilities.
AssistantHVACEngineersworkindependentlyonbasicHVACworkorwithotherengineerson
moredifficultorcomplexprojects.WorkisperformedwithspecificinstructionsfromtheLead
HVACEngineerandundergeneralsupervisionoftheSuperintendentofHVAC.Thisemployee
isrequiredtorespondtoemergenciesduringunassignedhours.Employeesinthisclassmay
beassignedtoworkdayoreveningshifts.Mostworkisperformedindoors,oftenintight
spaces.Relatedworkisperformedasrequired.

TestsandtreatswaterusedinHVACsystemsinordertopreventgrowthoffungiandbacteria
Testsandtreatsswimmingpoolwaterforclarityandmaintainsalogsheetofactivitiestobe
submittedtotheHealthDepartment
Operates,maintains,andmonitorsabuildingautomationsystem
KeepsoperatinglogsforallHVACequipmentunderemployee'scharge
Monitorsandmaintainsemergencygeneratorsbyperformingweeklycheckstoassure
