Introduction: 3 min
Hook/Attention Grabber: What is a fundamental movement skill?
Assessment of Prior Knowledge: Talk about walk, run, kick strike, throw, hop, jump, roll, balance
Agenda: Introduction, Warm up (dance), Wax Museum, Banana/Anana, Closure
Transition to Body: Spread out in the room where you can see me but are not close to anyone around you.GET READY TO DANCE
Body: 25 min
Learning Activity #1: Warm Up
Youtube- Cha Cha Slide
Dance moves- Cha-cha, crisscross, funky, reverse, Charlie brown
Debrief: What FMS did we do? Jump and hop
Learning Activity #2: Wax Museum
1 person is the guard, everyone else is a wax figure. GOAL wax figures move without guard seeing them move, if guard sees them
they must sit down and count to 25 by 5s. TWIST guards goes into room where only can hop, jump or balance
Debrief: What FMS did we do? Jump, hop, balance
Learning Activity #3:Banana/Anana
Find a line on the ground, everyone stands on one side. One side is names banana, the other is named anana. When anana called hop to
the anana side when banana called hop to the banana side. If hop to wrong side, must count to 80 by 10s before you can join back in
the game. TWIST will have to do it on 1 foot (L and R) and on two feet
Debrief: What FMS did we do? Jump and hop
Closure: 2 min
