Working principle
The new ARVD feature automatically optimizes the closing time of the relay
nozzle valves related to the behavior and the air friendliness of the weft.
This program uses the winding information from the prewinder in order to
calculate the optimal closing moment of each relay nozzle valve on a pick by
pick basis. The relay nozzle valves will close earlier in case of a fast filling,
consequently saving compressed air.

Advantages
As the relay nozzles are responsible for 75% of the total air consumption
of the machine, optimizing the timing will significantly reduce the overall
air consumption, without any influence on the fabric quality.
Industrial results with ARVD show a reduction in air consumption up to 15%.
By reducing the actual blowing time of the relay nozzles, the filling will be
less subject to the consequences of high air pressure during the insertion
cycle, which enhances the weavability of weaker yarns, especially on wide
machines.

ARVD has been tested on a broad range of yarns and has proved to give
optimal results with both spun and filament yarns.
ARVD is fully compatible with Autospeed.
The yellow and black surface together represent the original timing settings of the relay nozzle valves.
The black surface visualizes the potential savings on air consumption after activating ARVD.
