course

for
anyone

non-native
ASL
users
and
native
ASL
users.
The
course
name
is
American
Sign
Language
101.
The
classes
are
on
Mondays
and
Wednesdays
from
5:00pm
to
5:50pm.
Course
Description:
This
is
the
first
course
of
a
series
where
the
course
will
be
taught
by
using
American
Sign
Language
from
the
Instructor.
This
course
introduces
basic
sign
language
vocabulary
and
fingerspelling.
Course

At
the
end
of
this
course,
students
will
be
able
to:

Comprehend
and
produce
non-manual
grammar
in
appropriate
contexts.

Demonstrate
comprehension
and
production
skills
in
order
to
participate
in
conversations
and
produce

ASL.

to
initiate,
conduct,
and

a
short

in
ASL.

example

this
interactive
experience
is
when
an
activity
occurs
where
each
student
would
have
to
interact

other,

applies

the
information
being
taught
by
the
instructor.

observe

students
signing
and
demonstrate

correct
production
if
needed.

a
quiz
and
the
teacher
will
manually
finger
spell
few
words/names
as
part
of
the
instructions
for
the
quiz.
Also,
the
teacher
will
display
a
few
examples
of
numbers
#1-10
in
the
questions
for
the
quiz.
The
quiz
will
be
taken
during
class
on
Monday,
September
13th.
