nationtreatsitspoliticalprisoners.TheunnamedDignitary,presumablyfromthewesternworld,
expressesinterestinthissystemonbehalfofhisgovernment.Theauthorshowshowthereisno
implicitdifferencebetweenthecivilizedandthesavage.

TheDignitaryistreatedasaspecialguestwhilevisitingthenation,yetthroughoutthe
entiretexthisthoughtsarecondescending.TheDirectorpointedoutthevariousmenof
standinginthecommunitybuttheyalllookedaliketome.AlittlewhilelatertheDignitaryis
presentedwiththechoiceofspendingthenightwithachild.Hedeclinescitinghismarriageand
culturalaversiontotheact,yethisthoughtsbetrayhistrueinclination.Asshedancedhereyes
weredowncastwhichIfoundveryalluringHereisamanwhoisactuallyokwiththeideaof
rapingachild,butchoosesnottobasedsolelyonthehisappearancesbyotherduetohisposition
inhisgovernment.IknewthatasarepresentativeofmyGovernmentIcouldnotbeseento
acceptherandyetthechildwassoattractive.TheDignitarywishesforotherstoseehimashe
isnot,heretheauthordrawsaparallelbetweentheDignitaryandtheWesternworld.

versusthesavagenation.Inactingashisnation'srepresentative,theDignitaryhighlightsthe
notsocleardifferencebetweenthetwo.Violenceandbrutalityareconceptsthatarewidespread
throughouttheworld.LiketheForeignDignitary,somejusthidetheirtruenaturebetterthan
others.
