INTRODUCTION

The Lets Love Day Program is the first motivation and awareness program organizes
by Loving & Caring Society, Faculty of Education, UiTM Shah Alam. This society has
reformed since 2013 and actively conducting some welfare and motivation programs that
relates to provide guidance and care. The Loving & Caring Society have collaboration with
Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development
(KPWKM), Corporates companies, University Technology Mara (UiTM), University Malaya
(UM) and University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). As we know nowadays, due to low level
of morality among student, we from Loving And Caring Society want to purpose on Lets
Love Day Program which has been strongly supported by our collaboration parties.
This program actually focuses on the freshman in a university which has been enter
faculty of education. This program was proposed by the Loving & Caring (L&C) Society
President, Noor Amalina Binti R. Azmi as well as the Program Director with help of society
members and also the volunteers from University Malaya and University Kebangsaan
Malaysia.
We as the members of L&C Society were inspired to come out with an ideas to give
awareness to the students especially freshman to prevent the culture shock and give them
knowledge about the importance to loving their parents, siblings, friends and lecturers. By the
way, after exploring the issues of level of morality among students in faculty of Education
with survey and questionnaire that has been conducted by our L&C society members, we
have organized this amazing program name as Lets Love Day.
Besides, we has been asked each society in faculty Education such as Science
Education Society (SEED), Visual Arts Education Society (VAESA), Mathematic Education
Society (MESA) and etc to randomly choose the freshman students part 1,2 until 3 to

participated in this program. We also invited volunteers students from University Malaya and
University Kebangsaan Malaysia who in Bachelor of Counselling Psychology to be the
facilitators. The purpose we invite volunteers from both university because of they have been
mastery and skilled in giving motivation and guidance. At the same time, we also asked our
advisors who is also master in Counselling and Psychology subject, Assoc Prof.Hjh Zaiton
Binti Ahmad and Puan Hamimah Binti Hashim to help us in conducting this program.
Throughout this program, there are 5 modules that are being created by the committee
members of L&C and being directed by our President, Miss Noor Amalina Binti R.Azmi.
This 5 modules are made special for our students with different objective and learning
outcomes. Moreover, before each modules are proposed, our society committee had made
long discussion in order to find out and select the most suitable modules for this program that
will able to attract and parallel to our objectives. Lastly, this program will be held on 12 th
March 2016 at Faculty of Education UiTM Puncak Alam.

RATIONALE
The Lets Love Day program targeted on the freshman in university of faculty
Education part 1, 2 until 3 that has been selected by each society programs. This program
include the element like in Malay proverbs sounds Yang Tua Dihormati, Yang Muda
Disayangi. Thus, we decided to choose the freshman of faculty Education because it is right
age to educate them and this program as one of the effort to prevent them from culture shock.
In this program, they will be learned elements of appreciate, respect, care, trust, love and
responsible. This is because, we want to give an early exposure to the students.
As we know, at this stage are very crucial because of they just started to learn, adapt
and being exposed to new surroundings which they never go through. It is really different

between the school or matriculation environment with university environment. Thats why,
this program being created to prevent them from being influenced by negative culture and
guide them to be person that rich with stated elements.
Furthermore, we are surprised by the norms of teenagers nowadays which they
thought they have fully right and freedom to do whatsoever they want without their parent
permission anymore. They always want to try new things and activity which actually will
harm them. The most serious part is not only they ignore they parents advice but also
disrespectful others such as lecturers, senior and their friends. Since this norms is not a new
in our culture, that is why we want to solved this issues of norms by created this program.
In this program, they will educate to obtained all the elements and apply it to their
daily life. In addition, we also share a few motivation, story and inspiration through the
modules that have been conducted. Thus, students will realized the importance and will start
to appreciate the people around them. Based on the name of the program which is Lets Love
Day, we are expecting at the end of this program the students will the importance of love in
their life.

CONCLUSION
The Lets Love Day program would be a great program for all of the students
especially for those from part 1, part 2 and part 3, because honestly when you entered a new
environment it would be awkward for you to adapt and adjust with the people and the
environment. Also at this stage, where the students are still freshman in university, students
tend to forget that they have family that always have been caring and supportive to them.
Besides, they also forget their friends that help and encourage them. At this stage also, these
students are exposed to new environment, where they do not have parents or teachers to guide

and giving advice to them, and students always think that this are the times that they can do
whatever they want even without their parents permission.
So, this program will be worth to try, because this program would instil the love
between family and friends. Sometimes, there are things that people have done for us but we
take it for granted, sometimes, we did not even realize what the obstacles that they have to go
through. Moreover, if you are still alive until today, there must be someone that would have
sacrifice something for you, simple example, such as your mother where they would sacrifice
themselves in order to give birth to you. But, as a daughter or as a son, did you ever say thank
you or really appreciate what they have done to you. These are the simple things that we
could not be able to see in our generation nowadays.
Therefore, this program also would increase the awareness of the students to always
keep in touch with their family and friends. As the founder of this program, we really hope
that this program will be a great success and able to produce a generation that have
remarkable humanity. We also hope that this program would able to change the perception of
students about love, instead of love between men and women, we would like them to see love
as their love for parents, siblings, friends, animals and even the environments
