Last Saturday, we went to Marian Orchard, a Catholic
religious complex located at Bo. Malabanan in Balete. It was
eleven years ago when I first visited the place.
I cant
remember anything about it because I was just one year old
then. Now, Ive really enjoyed the beauty of nature and the serenity of this place with my family. The best thing that I liked about the place is the overlooking view of Taal volcano.
I enjoyed this scene by
climbing a tall building called the Tower of the Sacred Heart.
From there, I can also see the tall trees in the whole orchard. It was really an amazing view! It added to the serenity of the place. The path going to the shrine of the different saints were very colorful with bougainvillea flowers as well as the garden near the domed shrine of our Lady Mary Mediatrix of all Grace, the Roman walkway, the shrines of Mary, St. Joseph and the infant Jesus. There were statues of cute cherubims sitting around the garden fountains and an amazing Koi fish pond. Theres also a wishing well where I dropped a coin and made a wish! At the Plaza of the Apostles stand life-sized statues of the twelve apostles. St. Peters statue with a rooster was my favorite. My mom told me that it also caught my attention when I first came here and that was when I was only one year old. Other places to see in this orchard are the retreat house, the rosary and meditation garden and the Stations of the Cross.
It was really a cool Saturday visit at the Marian Orchard.
