Why are you interested in getting involved with GISS 2016?


We understand the significance of having people from different parts of Africa to experience
what we do in our community. And this may be any opportunity for us to learn from them or
them learn from us. In some way this may improve our CAS.

Give a brief description of your service project:


Our project will involve fixing the Mtoni school campus, painting, building recycle bins and
maybe adding something to the flower garden we planted in September. We could also do a
needs assessment again.

What makes your project unique/interesting?


our project is unique in sense that it will involve communication between the volunteers and
the kids. They will also have an opportunity to visit and participate with other members our
CAS.

How is this project sustainable? (consider society, environment + economy)


it is sustainable environmentally because it will involve building recycle bins and planting a
garden. Socially we will be improving the kids home.

Where is your project situated?


In Kurasini, Temeke, Dar es salaam

What type of work will delegates at your service site be involved in?
Paint walls , plant a garden and fix furniture if they can.

How do you think your project will contribute to the Service Learning Day?
The delegates can learn from our CAS. They can also share with us the ways to improve or to
make it better, through this they will be learning themselves.
