Additional Mobility Schemes for students from Specific Regions of the World

1. General information
Applicants for EMMCs under the Erasmus+ Call for applications 2015 may apply for additional
scholarships, financed by EU Instruments for External Action, for students from one or several
specific regions/countries of the World, which are listed below.
The maximum amount of one additional scholarship is estimated - as for any other scholarship in the
framework of this call - at 47.000 Euro.
One scholarship per Region may be allotted to each Erasmus Mundus Course
2. Regions covered

Asia

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, DPR Korea, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives,
Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam
Students from Asia should come as a priority from less developed countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan,
Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Vietnam), but can come from other countries of the
regions as well, except from China and India.

Central Asia

Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan

Middle East

Iran, Iraq, Yemen

Latin America

Lower Middle Income Countries (Bolivia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and
Paraguay)

Brazil and Mexico together

Other Latin American countries (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador,
Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela).

South Africa

European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI)

ENI South

Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, , Syria and Tunisia

ENI East

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Territory of Ukraine as recognised by


international law

Gulf countries

Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates
