Antigone and Malala Yousafzai both spoke out for their own personal beliefs and laws of conscience despite facing punishment. Antigone defied the king's order to not bury her brother Polyneices because she felt it was right to bury family. She embraced her death, proud of fulfilling her beliefs. Similarly, Malala spoke out against the Taliban's ban on girls' education in Pakistan, believing everyone deserves education, and was shot but recovered and continues promoting education globally. Both women stood up for their principles against more powerful forces and inspired others by demonstrating how far people will go for their beliefs.

importance of the Laws of Conscience, and the positive and negative outlooks on them. The Laws of Conscience are personal beliefs and feeling an individual has toward something. Antigone and Malala Yousayfzai have both spoken out for their own laws of conscience. Antigone stood up to the king for what she felt was right. Antigones brother, Polyneices, died and it was forbidden to bury him. Antigone felt that this was no way to leave anyone. She believed that this was the right thing to do, and went against the kings word and buried him. She knew that she would be punished and she did it anyway. This shows that she felt very strongly of her laws of conscience and did it to make things right with what she believed in. When she got caught she showed that she was honored what she had done and felt it was worth it. She was proud of herself for fulfilling her laws of conscience. Antigone embraced her death because she knew she had done right. Malala Yousayfzai is a teenage girl from India that spoke out against the Taliban for what she believed in. Malala lived in India

where girls are not allowed to get an education. She strongly
disagreed with this, so she snuck an education, and promoted it. This is what Malala really believed in, and she wanted to get everyone involved. Her laws of conscience believed that everyone deserves to get a chance at an education. Sadly the Taliban did not take this kindly, and shot her. Luckily she recovered and is still going around through different places promoting education. She actually just won the Nobel Peace Prize. All of this happened just because one Indian teenager spoke out for what she felt was right. She is now helping girls get a chance at education all across the world. The Laws of Conscience are very important to everybody, even though each persons belief is different. Malala and Antigone both stood up for their laws of conscience against someone way more powerful than them. They also both got punished for speaking out, but it didnt stop them from continuing. That shows how far people are willing to go for their beliefs.
