Alloy 6060

Description of Alloy
Alloy 6060 is very high extrudability, very amenable to anodizing which confers
a light colour.
Characteristics
Welding
alloy 6060 is readily welded by the TIG or MIG processes
Machining is readily can be machined at high speeds by the full range
technique.
Forming
the recommended 900 bend radius is at least 1.5-2 times the
thickness.
Corrosion
product resistance to industrial and marine atmospheres is
excellent.
Chemical Composition2
Alloy 6060 is a heat-treatable aluminium-magnesium-silicone alloy.
