Puan Hasmah, who is fifty-eight years old, is the class teacher for Year 6 Carnation.

She is teaching in Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Indah. She is a kind hearted and dedicated
teacher. She is loved by her pupils because she has a heart of gold.
Last week was her last day in school because shes going to retire soon. Therefore, the
pupils of 6 Carnation planned to have a farewell party for her. The party was to show their
love and appreciation to Puan Hasmah. The pupils started doing some preparation for the
party. Some of the pupils decorated the class with streamers and balloons. They also placed
some plants in front of the rostrum to beautify the class. The chairs were arranged neatly.
They also prepared some food as refreshment for the party. The pupils brought presents for
Puan Hasmah and they put all the presents on a long table in front of the class.
After everything was done, Hariz, the class monitor called Puan Hasmah and invited
her to the class. As she entered the room, the pupils applauded for her. There were tears in her
eyes. She stood at the rostrum and gave some speech to her pupils. In her speech, she
reminded the kids to focus in their studies. She also told them to behave well, respect each
other and not to forget, be kind to other people. She thanked the pupils for their kind thoughts
and she said that she was grateful teaching in Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Indah. The school has
given her a lot of memories to cherish. Tears came down on the girls cheeks as they were so
sad to let Puan Hasmah go.
Soon after the speech was done, Puan Hasmah was invited to enjoy the delicious meal
served on the table. Then, the pupils gave her some presents and they clapped for their
beloved teacher. They were sad but they promised to keep in touch with each other. Puan
Hasmah assured that they will not be forgotten. The farewell party ended at 12.30 p.m and
they went home after that.
