Language Program
20 lessons - 15 hours per week
From Monday to Friday: 15 hours of general French from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM
Learning Contents
The objectives for these short visits, intended for college and high school students, essentially intend to develop the
students oral competence through comprehension and practice.
The students are placed in everyday situations and diverse language activities where they must communicate in order
to enrich their vocabularies. Also, sociocultural material relative to the French and regional culture, as well as the
lifestyles of France are integrated.
The practices of the class implement the creativity and the initiative of the students and are of a nature that promote
their interests and stimulate group work. The teachers will make sure to maintain an atmosphere that is both friendly
and suitable for the study of the language.
The afternoons can be dedicated to discovery activities and excursions: the LanguedocRoussillon region is
particularly rich in historical and natural sites and offer multiple possibilities. So, the link with classwork is made
through visits, excursions and diverse workshops that meet the objective of education (through elaboration by
surveys, stories, photo reports etc).
Lodging
Host families in semi-boarding - Double Rooms
Breakfast and dinner offered 7/7
Host families are chosen with care and are obligated to follow a quality contract with the European Institute of French.
