We have also created polls using the website Poll everywhere for our ancillary sketches. We wanted to see what feedback we would get about the two sketches we created for both the magazine poster and digipak and thats why we created the poll. We got quite a few people to take part in our poll both male and female to make sure that we got a varied response; we also got other students that didnt do Media to take part in the poll. We got a lot of feedback from our poll for our digipak sketches, we found that most people liked B more than A and therefore we decided that this was what we were going to create. Overall we got had 22 people take part in our poll, 7 people said that they liked A and 15 people said they preferred B. I think that this one won because its different and the people who took part in our poll said that they liked the idea of the newspaper article for the background and that we used synergy really well to link this to our music promo. They also liked the layout better in B as it wasnt as basic and really stood out.
Poll everywhere for magazine advert:
We then created a poll to see which sketch that more people liked for our magazine advert. For the magazine advert we actually created three sketches unlike the digipak where we created two sketches. Overall we had 24 people that took part in our poll, out of those 24 people 5 people preferred A, 7 preferred B and 12 preferred C. From looking at these results we decided to create C. This was a helpful website to use to gain audience feedback as it was easy to create and it allows you to get feedback quickly. The good thing about using poll everywhere is that it is easily created and easy for people to vote on which sketch they like the best. Again I think that this one won due to the layout and overall idea of the newspaper article idea, as well as using synergy to link all three promotional materials.
