    Down syndrome is when there is an extra chromosome


    Another name for this birth defect is trisomy 21
    The extra chromosome become a problem when it makes the
    body and brain develop wrong

    Symptoms

    Flattened nose
    Small ears
    Upward slanting eyes
    Small mouth
    Wide/short hands
    White spots on their eyes
    Single crease in palm
    Separated joints
    Excessive skin

    Preventions

    No treatment and there is no way to prevent down syndrome
