David Shorr for Stevens Point City Council, District 2
Dear Neighbor, For as long as I can remember I have felt pulled toward public policy and the issues that affect our communities, our country, and the wider world. Its why Ive made a career as a policy analyst and advocate; volunteered for campaigns, commissions, and social service agencies; and decided to run for election to be District 2 Alderperson on the City Council. Public policy is about looking for the steps political decision makers can take to deal with a given problemsometimes its a search for consensus, other times a debate between different sides of the question. But the City Council agenda lately has been bogged down by issues that are pretty straightforward for a fair-minded community like Stevens Pointlike basic rights for City workers and housing for low-income seniors. If you and our other District 2 neighbors would lend me your support, I want to make sure the work of the City reflects the values of the community. I ask for your vote on April 5.
Authorized and paid for by Committee to Elect David Shorr for District 2. Mary Jo Patton, Treasurer
