Sight Word

Instructions
Dear H-2 Families,
The purpose of this homework is to build your childs
vocabulary for reading and writing. Have your child read
the words and then read the phrase or sentence next to it.
Reading the phrases/sentences helps your child apply
their knowledge of the sight words. My hope is that you
will have your child practice a minimum of two times a
week for about 10 minutes.
This homework is different from the others because
you do not need to return it weekly. Please return the
sight word folder when your child has learned the entire
list. I will test your child on that list and record the score
on the left side of the folder. Please be diligent in working
on this each week so your child can show improvement.
Please make sure to initial and date your sessions in
the Homework Folder. This communicates to me that you
are practicing each week to identify sight words.
If I have not had any communication from you and
have not seen your childs sight word folder for more than
3 weeks, I will send you an email to return it to school so I
may see what progress your child has made on their
current list.
