Prevalence of cyber bullying. Prevalence of suicide ideation.
Resiliency
What is it? Overview of factors that play into an individual being resilient. Resiliency in
relation to participation in cyber bullying or traditional bullying.
Coping Mechanisms
What are coping mechanisms? Different kinds and types of coping mechanisms. Coping
mechanisms in relation to coping or dealing with cyber bullying or cyber victimization.
Cyberbullying
Definition of cyber bullying and cyber victimization. Prevalence rates of cyber bullying
along with cyber victimization. Psychosocial impacts of being a cyber bully or cyber victim.
Suicide Ideation (Depression)
Definition of suicide ideation. Prevalence rates of suicide ideation among adolescent
children. Prevalence rates of attempted suicide among adolescents having suicidal ideations.
Reasons that have been found to contribute to suicide ideation. Suicide ideation in relation to
being a cyber bully or cyber victim.
Research questions
1. What resiliency factors are related to less participation in cyber bullying or cyber
victimization?
2. What kinds of coping mechanisms decrease the effect of cyber bullying or cyber
victimization?
3. What kinds of coping mechanisms increase the effect of cyber bullying or cyber
