The context is from the story of King Nimi and Navayogees, narrated to Vasudevji
(Bhagavans Father) by Naradarshi:
Fifth chapter in the eleventh canto describes the fate of non-devotees, different
methods of the Lords worship according to the different yugas etc.
Now, King Nimi asked Karabhaja Yogito tell him in which ages , assumimg what forms
and colors and by what names the Lord is known, and what predcribed rites He is worshipped
by men.
Towards the end of the answer to this question, while describing the best qualities of
Kaliyuga, that for men lost in this world, mere chanting of His names alone gives them peace
and liberation from the BhavaDukha of birth and death. The yogi continues that for this
reason, those living in the ages of Satya, Treta and Dwapara , seek birth in Kaliyuga. He adds
that in Kaliyuga only, here and there men will be devoted to Lord Narayana, but there
number will be large in the Dravida territory, (see how true it came, Bhaktas are on the
increase in Chennai rather than in any other states in India) wherein so many rivers including
Kaveri, Maha nadi etc flow lavishly.. (FA: Pl.verify these rivers toch Chennai?) . It is a
fact that men drinking waters of these sacred rivers, become purified and worship
Vasudeva(Lord Sri Hari).
The Slokas very simply and unequivocally extoll the gretest importance of Kaliyuga.
One cannot live without Bhakti towards the Supreme Power. In all other Yugas except
Kaliyuga, the Bhakti Marga was paved with so many rituals and injunctions. But in Kaliyuga,
we need only chant His names, and that too in whatever situation you are in. This is an
unprecedented and the easiest of all Bhkati margas. We cannot even dream of getting such a
simple process to attain God. The magnanimous and immense Grace of the Paramatma is
showered on us unconditionally in this Yuga. How much we owe HIM; we can never repay the
debt, but expressing our deepest gratitude, while enjoying the bliss of His Grace.
...you can never belong there...shockingly, you don't belong anywhere in today's
world...as you age, the one thing that's certain is that you become acutely aware of the truth
that you are just going through the motions of life irrespective of where you are and with
whom you are...
