Dear parents,
Our LEEP preschool program was awarded a grant on November 14, 2015, through the
Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) to provide Pathway ll Scholarships to help pay for
your childs early education. You are receiving this letter because you are currently receiving
tuition assistance through our Community Education program.
We have enclosed an application and informational letter regarding this scholarship
availability. We know you have filled out a similar form this past fall to receive tuition
assistance, but we are requiring you to complete the enclosed application for your child to
continue receiving assistance. Our LEEP preschool program will then be reimbursed for your
childs scholarship through MDE freeing up Community Education funding to be used
elsewhere in the program.
Once a child receives a Pathway II Scholarship, they will continue to do so, until he/she is
age-eligible for kindergarten, as long as state funding is available. Also, your child may now
be eligible to receive a full-scholarship if they had only received a partial in the past.
Please fill out the application as soon as possible. Application must be filled out completely
including income verification and parent signature to receive funding. Date of signature will
become the award date of the scholarship. If you have questions regarding this process or
