Taking care of rabbits

rabbit: Misty
guinea pig: Harry
keep cage in sheltered and shaded area
keep pen in shaded area
picking up rabbit: i hand under chest/ front paws, other hand scoop under hips
picking up guinea pig: scoop under stomach
daily care
take out in morning, put back in cage at night.
if it is raining keep in cage untill rain stops if possible, otherwise keep inside cage
open cage from top, take out rabbit first and put in pen fiirst, guinea pig second with litter tray.
at the end of the day put guinea pig and litter tray back in cage first then the rabbit second. (this is because
if she is left in the cage and it is opened she can jump out)
Food and water
1 bowl of hay each day, fill it in the morning and night
1 bowl of the mix feed fill bowl every second day
change water daily/ keep it filled if it gets empty
4-6 cos lettuce leaves twice a day or equvilent
can feed vegitable scraps except for iceberg lettuce. (if in doubt check google)
carrots/ endive, dark geen leaves are good.
if mix feed runs out then can buy it from woolworths (comes in a plastic bag) or from petstock (petstock
brand)
