INTRODUCTION
Page No-4

A hydraulic lift is a simple machine that is

used in the transfer of pressure through an
enclosed static liquid medium to lift heavy
machinery in accordance to Pascals principle. The
pressure is transmitted from one end of the
hydraulic lift to the other undiminished end. When
the area of the piston relieving the pressure is
larger than that of initial position of piston. The
upward force exerted by the second piston is
several times stronger than the downward force
exerted on the first piston.

THEORY
Page No-5

Commonly hydraulic lift is used in an

incompressible fluid such as soil or water to
transmit force from one location to another with
the fluid. It is used as breaking system in vehicle.
Weve a law called Pascals law : Pascals law
states that when there is an increase in the
pressure at any point in confined fluid, there is an
equal increase of every other point in the
container.

PROCEDURE
Page No-6

Let us consider a cuboid in which the ends are

connected based on Pascals principle. We can lift
small materials like toy car. Based on this principle,
when one piston is pressed, then the other one will
lift up. We need to apply a small force on first one
so that the second end can exert more force and it
will lift easily.

CONCLUSION
Page No-7

Were concluding this project by proving that

this principle (Pascals Principle) is applied for
different phenomena to lift heavy loads, lifting a
car, fridge etc. This principle helped us to create a
simple model of hydraulic lift.
