DIFFERENT TYPES OF BRIDGES.

Cantilever Bridge: a cantilever bridge is a bridge built using


cantilevers, structures that project horizontally into space,
supported on only one end.

The Greater New Orleans Bridge over the Mississippi River.


Arch Bridge: an arch bridge is a bridge with abutments at each
end shaped as a curved arch.

Truss Bridge: a structure of connected elements forming triangular


units.

Beam Bridges: a simple structural form supported by an abutment


or pier at each end.

Suspension Bridges: is hung below suspension cables on vertical


suspenders.

Cantilever Bridges: a bridge built using cantilevers, structures that


project horizontally into space, supported on only one end.
