IELI Welcome Party - Friday, January 22, 12:00-1:00 PM at the Union Ballroom, Room 314: Come
celebrate the beginning of a new term at IELI and make new friends. There will be food, drinks, games, and
prizes.
Fort Worth Stockyards Rodeo Trip - January 22, 5:00 PM: Join IELI at the rodeo, a true Texas
experience! You will get to watch real cowboys try their luck with bull riding, barrel racing, and more!
Sign up in MARQ 202 by Thursday, January 21. Free for students! The bus will leave at 5:00 PM on Friday.
Coffee & Culture - Thursdays, 12:00-1:00 PM: Do you want to practice English and learn about other
cultures? Join us for coffee and discussion every Thursday, beginning week 2, in MARQ 327.

If you did not pay your tuition or did not sign up for the payment plan, you need to pay your tuition IMMEDIATELY,
or you will be pulled from your classes. You can pay online with a credit card, or you can pay with cash or check
at Student Accounting, ESSC 105. If you want to sign up for a Payment Plan, please go to Alissa (MARQ 105) to sign up.

If you move, you must report your change of


address to the IELI Main Office (MARQ 145)
within 10 days of the move. If you are a new
student and you didnt know your permanent
address when you filled out your registration
forms, please go to the IELI Main Office and
fill out an Address Maintenance form with
your new address.

If school is closed for bad weather, all students are


responsible for keeping up with assignments on
Blackboard. Even if school is closed, the
assignments are due for class.
Also, you should update your contact information on Eagle Alert at
my.unt.edu. When UNT is closed for bad weather, Eagle Alert will
send you an email and let you know that school is closed.

UNT is a smoke-free campus. No one will


be allowed to smoke on campus,
including in buildings, on the sidewalk,
and in the parking lots. You are allowed
to smoke across the street from UNTs
campus or in your closed car on campus.
This means you cannot smoke outside of
Marquis Hall (MARQ). If you have
questions, come by our office in MARQ 202.

Wednesday, January 20 from 11:15 -1:15 in MARQ 215.


This is an optional sign up for Levels 2-5. Classes
available are: speaking, listening, and spelling (2, 3) and
TOEFL prep (5), pronunciation/accent reduction (4, 5).
This will your only opportunity to sign up for these
classes, so dont miss out!

Lab Orientation for new level 4, 5,


and 6 students will be held on:
Wednesday, January 20 and
Thursday, January 21. Your CM
teachers will hand out passes with
your scheduled time. Lab Orientation is required! If you
forgot your EUID and password, the IELI Lab can help
you find that information. You need this information to
access Blackboard.

All ASC Level 6 students are required to meet Josh


Bollman on Thursday, January 21 from 12:101:00 PM
in MARQ 215. If you are taking a UNT class, bring a
copy of your EIS schedule.

All students are eligible to meet with their teachers outside of class
through appointments for weeks 2-7. Heres how:

1) Make an appointment with your teacher.


2) Go to the Main Office a few minutes before
your appointment time.
3) Tell the student worker that you have an
appointment with your teacher.
4) The student worker will call your teacher and
confirm that your teacher is available at his/
her desk.
5) Wait outside the teacher pod area for your
teacher to meet you.

For instructions on printing at UNT,


go to http://computerlabs.unt.edu/
printing. Each student will receive
a $10 printing credit each semester.
How is the cost of a print job
calculated?

Printing is provided by the UNT SCL network at the


following rates:
Three cents ($0.03) for 1 single-sided Black & White
page. (333 single-sided pages total)
Five cents ($0.05) for 1 double-sided B&W pages/
sheet. (400 double-sided pages total)
Ten cents ($0.10) per 1 single-sided Color page.
(100 single-sided pages total)
Nineteen cents ($0.19) for 1 double-sided Color
pages/sheet. (105 double-sided pages total)
