The purpose of our School Field Trip Policy is to establish guidelines that will help ensure

that our guests receive the most welcomed, professional and safe visit.
Please be aware that Limoneira is a working ranch so farming activities will be taking
place while the tour is underway. As part of Limoneiras food and safety guidelines,
entrance into orchards is prohibited. Limited walking is required for all tours. Guests
should wear comfortable closed toe shoes such as sneakers or loafers.

Bus driver and chaperones should park in the designated parking area. If a
chaperone or bus driver is unable to participate in tour, they should wait at the
Limoneira Park and not walk the grounds on their own.
Tour group will meet at the Limoneira Park for orientation by SEEAG Tour Guide.
All signed Limoneira Waiver forms will be given to Limoneira Guide prior to start
of tour for review. If a student under the age of 18 does not have a signed
waiver by their parent/guardian, they will not be able to participate in the tour.

The following packinghouse safety guidelines must be followed by students and

chaperones:
No late arrivals once packinghouse tour has begun
No sandals, clogs, heels, slip on or open toe shoes permitted
No loose clothing
No photography/video
Please keep in mind that Limoneira is a working ranch and for safety concerns, guests
may be prohibited from entry into the demonstration orchard or packinghouse as
deemed necessary.

Packinghouse Tour Guidelines

In order to provide safety to our Visitors and protection for our products, Limoneira has
adopted the following safety and sanitation requirements for all Visitors.
1.

Remember this is a production facility with moving equipment and forklifts. Stay
alert at all times and observe all safety rules.

2. No visitors infected with any infectious or communicable disease, including boils,

sores, infected wounds or any other affliction which may spread disease, may
come in contact with product.
3. Visitors to remain with their host at all times. Travel through the facility is
restricted unless authorized or escorted by an authorized Limoneira employee.

4. Children are only allowed in facility under supervised school field trips. All
children to remain standing up at all times, no kneeling and sticking heads
through railings.
5. No personal bags, cameras, or other materials are allowed in the facility without
managements permission.
6. No jewelry to be worn in the packinghouse other than a plain band ring without
jewels or a Medic Alert bracelet if worn securely.
7. Remove all items from pockets above the waist. Phones and other items kept in
pant pockets should fit completely and not be visible or hanging out of pockets;
otherwise items should be removed prior to entering packinghouse.
8.

No items of any kind allowed in the plant that can be used as weapons.
Maintenance tools and fruit knives used by authorized personnel only.

9. Company provided hair restraints must be worn in such a manner that they
contain all the hair. Long hair should be tied back for safety reasons, using a
band no metal clips or pins. Ears must be completely covered by the hair net.
Visitors with mustaches, beards, sideburns, etc. will be required to wear
company provided beard nets. Baseball caps are permitted as long as they are
clean and worn in a way that the fringe hair is protected.
10. Disposable gloves are available at the entrance of the packinghouse for visitors
that will come into direct contact with the packed product or if the visitor
possesses long, acrylic and/or polished nails.
11. Handling food and touching food contact surfaces is prohibited unless permitted
by the visitors host.
12. Wash hands with soap and water after using the restroom.
13. Possession and/or being under the influence of controlled substances, including
alcohol are not permitted in the facility or on the property.
14. Food and drinks may only be consumed in designated areas. No nuts, chewing
gum or tobacco allowed in the facility.
15. Eyeglasses that are not being worn must be in their protective case.
16. No pets allowed.
17. No smoking permitted in plant or within 20 feet of all entrances. Cigarette butts
must be disposed of properly in the container provided.

The undersigned Student/Guest wishes to participate in an organized activity at the Limoneira

Ranch or involving Limoneira facilities or equipment in Santa Paula, California. In consideration
of Student/Guest being permitted to participate in and as a condition to his or her participation
in such activities, Student/Guest hereby releases and discharges forever Limoneira Company, a
Delaware corporation, together with its subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees,
shareholders, agents, attorneys and assigns (collectively Releasees) from any and all loss,
liabilities, damages, claims and causes of action which the undersigned or the undersigneds
heirs, administrators, executors or assigns may now have or may hereafter have or claim arising
out of any injury, death or property damage sustained by the undersigned during the course of
or as a proximate result of Student/Guest activities on or about the property of Limoneira
Company.
Student/Guest covenants and agrees that he or she will not sue said Releasees upon any claim,
demand or cause of action released herein and further will indemnify Releasees against and
hold each of them harmless from any loss, liability, damage or claim, including attorneys fees
and costs of defense, arising out of an account of any actions brought by Student/Guest or his or
her assigns or prosecuted on behalf of the undersigned against any of said Releasees if such
action is based upon any claim, demand or cause of action released herein.
