"An emotion is a complex psychological state that involves three distinct


components: a subjective experience, a physiological response, and
a behavioral or expressive response." (Hockenbury, 2007)

Theories of Emotions
Psychology is nothing but a study of human behavior and emotions which are natural feelings or
arousal that comes straight away from every human being. Emotions are the mental states or
arising of feelings that come directly from the consciousness of a mind which leads to physical
actions. Various theories were developed by many mastermind psychologists on emotions telling
