BC SECAC Upcoming Trainings

February and March 2016

BC SECAC has two new events coming up. We are currently in the process
of reserving space for each, but would like to give you a chance to place
your name on the list. Sessions allow limited seating due to the nature of the
trainings.

GANG AWARENESS Training

For: Families, Caregivers, School Administrators, Staff, Students,
Community Members, etc.
Baltimore City District HQ Building
Saturday after 11:00am
Exact date and time to be announced (February/March)
BC SECAC will be partnering with DJS
DJS will actually be presenting/training!
NAMI BASICS
For those who
Free 6 weeks course; 2.5 hours sessions
Taught by trained caregivers of children with mental health concerns
Targeted Audience: Those who are responsible for children and/or
adolescents
Overview of treatment options-treatment works
Overview of systems involved in caring for children and teens
Communication Skills
Handling challenging behaviors
Treatment Options
Advocating for your child
Getting an accurate diagnosis

If you are interested in either training and want your name on the list for when the locations
are available for early contact, please contact me to save your spot. If we go over the allowed
slots, we will open addition dates. Currently, we are only waiting approved space.
