REQUIREMENTS
+ To remain in the program students must maintain an 80% average overall and cannot be
failing any STEM course.
+ A student who earns less than an 80% average or is failing a course at the mid-point will be
placed on academic probation. The mid-point of a course is defined as:
The conclusion of the first grading period of a semester long course.
The conclusion of the 2nd grading period of a year-long course.
+ In the event a student is placed on academic probation, the student and a parent/guardian
will be invited to attend a conference with the STEM coordinator and teacher(s) in order to
develop an intervention/ PEP plan (Personal Education Plan). This plan will remain in effect for
the remainder of the course.
