Flathead County. Thank you for wanting to continue your education.
1

The applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Preference will be given
for students who are both in financial need and worthy of the
award.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. LATE

APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The recipient must not be related in any degree to either of the

trustors or their heirs and descendants.

All graduates will be given equal consideration.

In general, no person shall receive a grant or scholarship for more

than a single year in order that more young people may be assisted
and encouraged to enter college.

The scholarship is paid in two installments, one each semester

during the freshman year of college only. To receive the second
installment, the student must: (1) send an official college semester
report/transcript reflecting that grades were at or above 2.5 and that
the student remained full-time (by the college/universitys definition)
during the grading period, and (2) confirm that he/she is registered
full-time for the second semester.

A Hawkins grant may be forfeited if the recipient fails to

maintain grades, does not carry a full-time credit load
throughout the grading period, does not enroll as a full-time
student the second semester, or engages in habits of conduct
unbecoming to himself/herself, the college, or the Hawkins
Foundation.
