How to Convert a Zune Playlist into a

Windows Media Player Playlist:

1. Open the Zune Playlist file(.zpl) with a text editor such as
Notepade.exe

2. Open a Windows Playlist file(.wpl) in a same way. (You should now have
2 windows of playlist files)

3. You will notice that the files look similar in their makeup and this is no
mistake—Microsoft isn’t going to create anymore stuff then they have
to.

4. Open a new file and copy the .zpl text to it.

5. At the top replace the ‘generated by’ of the new file with the .wpl stuff.
It will now read Windows Media Player instead of Zune. Remember—
they are copies of eachother with small differences.

6. Delete the extra stuff of the new file that the .wpl does not have such
as some of the meta information.

7. Now save the file as somename.wpl and the file type as All Files.
