Immune cells
The number of immune cell in adults ranges
8000/ mm3.
The immune cells are general purpose antibodies
because they swallow any type of bug.
Normally in the blood there are five types of
immune cells, namely neutrophils, eosinophils,
basophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes.
Neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils called
granular white blood cells because there are many
granules in their cytoplasm.
Immune cells
While the other is commonly called white
blood cells agranuler.
White blood cells have the ability to perform
diapedesis, amoeboid motion, chemotaxis,
and most capable of phagocytosis.
Platelets
The number of platelets of blood in the body
of an adult approximately 250.000/mm3.
Platelets are small (diameter 2-4 microns),
have no nucleus and less regular shape.
Platelets role in blood clotting. When an injury
occurs to a blood vessel wall, the platelets
become activated and grow sticky arms.
