MOULANA SAYED IMBAAN ZIYAEE
Melaad-un-Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is the
celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet
(Sallaliahu Alaihi Wasallam). In these gatherings
praise and remembrance of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam) takes place, which without any shadow of
a doubt is inked with Allah Almighty and a source of
obtaining His pleasure.
Alch alm pisos in the Holy Quraan
IOV. 5
“ Say , In the Bounty of Allah and His Mercy, in
that let them rejoice, That is better than
(whatever) they accumulate (wealth) .”
Mufti Ahmed Yaar Khan Naeemi (ra) in His Tafseer
Nurul Irfean mentions regarding this verse: “Islamic
Scholars have said that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam) is the greatest bounty of Allah Almighty,
Regarding this verse Majority of the commentators
stated, where the bounty and mercy of Allah
Almighty are mentioned collectively it refers solely te
Nabi (Sallallahu Alsihi Wasallam) as mentioned in
the Holy Quran
(S:4V: 83)
~ Were it not for the Bounty and Mercy of Allah
Almighty unto you, besides a few, all of you
would have followed Shaytaan.”
When Allah Almighty states “ Let them rejoice it Is
better than (whatever) they accumulate,” From this
is meant expression of this joy (Birth of Nabi
(Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is better than all the
bounties of the world, because it is an act of worship
forwhich innumerable rewards would be given.
Almighty Allah furtherstates in the Holy Quraan
(S:93V11)
“ And Publicise well the Bounty of your Lord
(Allah)."
In this verse Allah Almighty has given clear
instruction for publicizing His bounty, We can
understand from the above verses that the greatest
bounty of Allah is Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
Therefore we learn from ($:93 V:11) that we should
make the life, works and qualities of Nabi (Sallallahu
Alaihi Wesallam} publicly known in abundance.
Thus it is the demand of this act, that big gatherings
of Meelaad should be held
In another verse of the Holy Quran Allah Almighty
Himself speaks about Nabi Muhammed (Sallallahu
Alaihi Wasallam) to all the other Prophets in the
‘world of the souls (Aalame Arwaah) (S: 3V:81)
“ And when Allah took the covenant of (all)
the Prophets saying: “I give you a Book of
Wisdom. Then comes to you a Messenger,
confirming what is with you; assuredly you
shall believe in him and render him help.”
From this verse it can be understood clearly that
Allah Almighty Himself held a gathering (with all the
Prophets) informing them of the advent and
greatness of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).
‘Which in fact is the very practice which takes place at
Meelaad Gatherings throughout the ward, This
verse makes it crystal clear that Allah Almighty
Himself is the first, to hold the Meelaad of the Holy
Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and that too in
‘the august gathering of all His Prophets
In conclusion we learn from all these verses that to
‘Hold / Attend Meelaad gatherings is correct and nat
‘only according to the teaching of the Holy Quran
‘but also an act that Allah Himself has practiced. May
Allah Almighty bless all those who Hold and Attend
‘Meolaaad gatherings Ameen.

Al-Suhayli related from the Qur'an commentary of
Bagi b. Makhlid, the hafiz, that Satan let out four
cries. One came when he was cursed (by God);
another when he was sent dawn from heaven; a
third when the Messenger of God a was born; and
the fourth when surat al-Fatihah, the opening verse
ofthe Qur'an, came down.
Muhammad b, Ishaq said that Hisham b, “Urwa
would tell traditions on the authority of his father,
that came from ‘Alisha, who once said, “There was a
Jew whe resided in Mecca and did business there.
On the night when the Messenger of God & was
hom, the man addressed a gathering of Quraysh
with the words, ‘O Quraysh, did a birth occur among
you this night?" They replied that they did not know.
He then exclaimed, "Well, Gad is very great; if that
should have missed you, then no matter. Do look,
and remember what I am telling you, This night a
prophet has been bor to this last nation; between
his shoulders there is a mark consisting of successive
lines of hair looking like a horse's mane. He will not
suckle for two nights and this is because a spirit will
have put his finger into his mouth and prevented him
from suckling”
“The gathering broke up at this with all amazed at
what he had told them. When they returned to their
homes, each one told his family, And they
responded, ‘By Gad, a child was born ta ‘Abd Allah,
son of ‘Abd al-Muttalib, a boy named
“Muhammad”.’ The people then gathered and
asked one another, ‘Did you hear whatthe Jew said,
and have you heard of the birth of the boy?’ They
then hurried off to the Jew and told him the news. He
asked them to go with them, so that he could see the
hoy. They left together and took him to Amina,
saying, ‘Bring out your son for us,’ She did so and
they uncovered his back, There they saw the mark
and the Jew fell down in a faint. When he came to,
they asked him what was the matter with him, He
replied, ‘By God, prophecy has left Israel's tribe; are
you glad with it, O Quraysh? He will so empower you
that news of it will spread fram eas! to west!”
Muhammad b. Ishaq said that Salih b. Ibrahim b.
‘Abd al-Rahman b. ‘Awf related to him, from Yahya
'b. ‘Abd Allah b ‘Abd al-Rahman b. Sa'd b. Zurara, as
follows, “Certain trustworthy men of my tribe told
me that Hassan b. Thabit once said, ‘I was a mature
lad of seven or eight, capable of understanding all |

began shouting for the attention of his people. When
they gathered about him — I heard all that myself —
they asked him what the matter was. He replied,

The hafiz Abu Nu’aym related in the book, Dala’il al-
Nubuwwa (Signs of the Prophethood), from a
tradition of Abu Bakr b, ‘Abd Allah al-'Amiri, from
Sulayman b. Suhaym and Dhurayh b. ‘Abd al-
Rahman, both of their accounts coming from ‘Abd al-
Rahman b. Abu Sa’id, from his father, who said that
he heard Abu Malik b. Sinan say: "Lcame one day to
talk with Banu ‘Abd al-Ashhal, with whom we then
hada truce, and heard the Jew Yushu’ say, “The time
approaches for the coming of a prophet named
Ahmad who will arise from the sanctuary.’ Khalifa b.
‘Tha'laba al-Ashhali asked him, sarcastically. “How
might you describe him?" He responded, ‘A man
neither shart nor tall, with fine, light eyes; he wears a
full cloak and rides a donkey, carries a sword over his
shoulder and to this land will he migrate.”
‘Abu Malik went on, “When | returned to my own
people and expressed at that time my surprise at
what Yushu’ had been saying, [heard one of our own
men comment, ‘So is it Yushu’ who alone says that?
Allthe Jews of Yathribare saying the same!’
Abu Mallik continued, “I thereafter left and visited
the Banu Qurayea whom | found in assembly
discussing the Prophet =, Al-Zubayr b. Bata said,
“The red star has risen and it only ever rises on the
departure or emergence of a prophet, And the only
one left is Ahmad: this will be the place to which he
will migrate.’ And Abu Sa’id said, ‘When the Prophet
= eventually arrived my father told him this story,
and the Messenger of God % commented, “If al-
Zubayr had adopted Islam, then his fellow Jewish
leaders would also have done so; but they all
followed him
Abu Nu’aym said that ‘Umar b. Muhammad related
to him, quoting Ibrahim b. al-Sindi, quoting al-Nadr
b, Salama, quoting Isma’il b. Qays b. Sulayman b.
Zayd b. Thabit, from Ibrahim b. Yahya b. Thabit,
wha said that he heard Zayd b. Thabit say, “The
Jewish rabbis of the Banu Qurayea and al-Nadit
would discuss the description of the Prophet #, and
when the red star arose, they said that it was for a
prophet after wham there would be no other that his
name was Ahmad and that he would migrate to
Yathrib, But when the Messenger of God «
ultimately arrived in the town they denied him,
expressing their envy and disbelief.”

MOHAMMAD'S (Peace Be Upon Him) EXISTENCE
Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay, a Hindu
professor, in his stunning book claims that the
description of the ‘Avatar’ found in the Holy
books of the Hindu religion, matches the Holy
Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
Recently in India, a fact-revealing book has been
published. The Book has been the topic of discussion
and gossipall overthe country.
The author of this book, Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay,
js a learned and famous Hindu professor. The book is
Kalki Avatar, Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay is a Hindu
Brahmin of Bengali origin, He is a research scholar at
Allahabad University.
After years of research, he published this book, and no
less than eight pundits have endorsed and certified his
pointsof argument as authentic.
According to Hindu belief, the Hindu world awaits "the
quide and leader’, named Kalki Avatar. However, the
description as given in the holy scriptures
of the Hindu points only to the Prophet Mohammed
{Peace be upon him) of Arabia. Therefore, the Hindus of
the whale world should not waitany longer for the arrival
of Kalki Avatar (the spirit} and should readily accept
Prophet Mohammed {peace be upon him)
as Kalki Avatar, These are the FACTS verified and
supported by eight other eminent pundits. What the
author says is that Hindus, who are still anxiously
awaiting the arrival of Kalki Avatar, are simply subjecting
themselves to never ending pain, Because, such a great
messenger has already arrived and departed from this
world fourteen centuries ago.
The author produces the following sound evidences
from the Vedas and other holy books of the Hindu
religion in suppart of his claim:
1. Inthe Puranas (Hindu scriptures), itis stated that Kalki
Avatar would be the last messenger of God in this world.
He would be for guidance af the whole world and all
human beings,
2. According to a Hindu religion prediction the birth of
Kalki Avatar would take place in an isle, which again
according to Hindu religion is Arab Region.
3. In books of Hindus, the names of the father and the
mather of Kalki Avatar are given as VISHNUBHAGAT
and SUMAANI respectively. [we examine the meaning
of these names we shall come to some very interesting
conclusion,
VISHNU (meaning God) + BHAGAT (meaning Slave).
Slave of God = ABDULLAH (in Arabic} is the name of
Prophet's (peace be upon him) Father, SUMAANI
{meaning peace or calmness). Aamenah {in Arable
means peace} is the name of Prophet's (peace be upon
him) Mother.
4. In the religious books of Hindus, it is mentioned that
the staple food of Kalki Avatar would be dates and olives
and he would be the most hanest and truthful person in
the region, Without any doubt the Prophet Mohammed
{peace be upan him) is acclaimed ta possess these
qualities.
5. It is stated in Vedas (holy book of Hindu Religion} that
the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an
honorable clan, This perfectly fits the
Quraysh where Prophet Mohammed {peace be upon
him) belonged to.
6, God would teach Kalki Avatar through His messenger
fangel) in a eave. Allah taught Prophet Mohammed
[peace be upon him) through His messenger dibrael
(Gabriel), ina cave known as Ghaar-e-Hita.
7. Gad would provide Kalki Avatar with a very speedy
horse to ride and travel the whole world and the seven
skies. Indication of burrag (Horse)and Me'raaj (the night
when Prophet [peace be upon him] travelled the seven
skies)
8. God would provide Kalki Avatar with divine help. This
was particularly proved in the Battle of Badr.
9. Another dazding account given about Kalki Avatar
was that he would be born on the 12th of a month.
Whereas the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him}
was born on the 12th of Rabbi ul Awwal (Hijra
Calendar)
10. Kalki Avatar would be an excellent horse rider and a
swordsman,
The author here draws the attention of Hindus that the
real days of horses and swords have gone and the
present time of guns and missiles, So it would be foolish
‘on the part of those who still expect Kalki Avatar, who
should be an excellent rider and swordsman to come. In
fact, the divine book, the Holy Qur'an, contains
qualities and signs attributed to Kalki Avatar reflecting on
the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).

The liberal lobby through its influence and financial

morality to the limit. We have seen the moral
onslaught in respect of euthanasia, abortion, the
condom culture and now the gay and lesbian issues.
There were some muted protest but the resounding
silence has allowed various acts of legislation
internationally to become acts of law on a global
scale, Needless to say the United Nations has played
a significant role in these issues.
The recent reports that in South Africa 2336 school
going children had fallen pregnant, and of these
seventy one ate attributed to one school only. The
figures which emerged are based on ad hoc
information and the actual pregnancies could be
substantially higher. Is this situation unique to Sauth
Africa? The answer is a resounding no. In a recent
article in one of the British tabloids it was reported
that in an upmarket school in Great Britain four
children fell pregnant in a space of one year. In one
such instant the child was fourteen years of age. This
child fell pregnant by having an illicit relationship

further this immature and naive child, who was the
first to fall pregnant was used asa councillor for the
other three children who had fallen pregnant after
her,
As Muslims we should not become
complacent and assume that as a society that
frowns on such acts we will not become
subjected to such acts finding its way in our
communities, From informal discussions with
a number of leaders within our society it
appears that these acts are already in our
midst.
The propagandist of the liberal lobby has always
used reason as a weapon together with propagating
a strictly “rights” only campaign, The abave facts
show that the reasoning which everybody fallen
prey to has no real substance and rights (which has
never been denied in Islam) had to weighed against
responsibilities. The emphasis on “rights” only
society is in fact an extremist view and these extremist
fy
should be exposed as such. A classical example
which is normally presented is: We do not give a five
‘or six year old child our car keys so that they may
drive our cars because they are not yet responsible
enough, Why then give them a licence to destroy
their lives and at the same time create an unstable
society, The new founded right to promiscuity is the
potent force which leads to indiscipline and
irresponsibility,
In many instances these acts are committed by
children who come from good homes, However the
general climate found within broader society can
and will influence a number of children to act in such
an lresponsible way. This climate stems directly
from the liberal lobby that now has no answers to
dealing with the monster which they have created,
True to their character they will not shoulder the
blame and will shift the blame to every body else
It is time that as Muslims we should take a more
proactive stand on these matters in order to bring
change to this self destructive and suicidal attitudes
prevalent in our broader societies, The first step
being to take responsibilities within our homes and
structures, (despite the criticism which we will earn)
as we learn from the under mentioned ayah from the
Holy Quran:
Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah
(SWT), seeing that He is our Lord and your
Lord; that we are responsible for our doings
and you for yours; and that we are sincere (in
‘our faith) in Him? Surah Al-Bagara verse 139.

Amman, JORDAN - Observance of
Fajr prayer on time every day is the
best way for the prevention of heart
diseases and arteriosclerosis, saus a
recent scientific study, According to
the study camied out by Jordan's
Cardiac Society, sleeping for a long
time either at night or in day time is a
major factor that leads to heart
diseases. “If a person sleeps more
hours, then his heart beats will
decrease to about 50 per minute
Such a decrease in pulse rates will
slow down blosd circulation in
arteries and intestines that ultimately
lead to blood clotting and blocking
resulting in heart attacks and
arteriosclerosis,” said the findings of
the Society. The study cautions
against sleeping more than four hours
by adults. It also stressed the need for
having movement of the body for at
least 15 minutes immediately after
getting up, something that Fajr
prayers usually allow:

Sabir Kalyari (R.A.). Hazrat Makhdoom
Jalaaluddin was an ecstatic type of Sufi, much
in the qalandari mould, due perhaps to his
close association with the chief saint of
Panipat, Hazrat Bu-Ali Sha Qalandar (R.A)
However destiny carried Hazrat
Jalaaluddin to the court of Hazrat Khwaja
Shamsuddin Turk (R.A) the immediate khalifa
