A survey was conducted at Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro on October 2013.

This effort was


undertaken to get a hint of the status of some old methods of farming. Although there were
hundreds of agrarians in the area, we have put into consideration a cluster of farmers only.

plantations were represented by the
farmers that we polled.
The highest farm size was 8 hectares,
while the lowest was 0.5 hectares.

60% of the farmers do not work fulltime on the farm.


40% of the farmers work full-time on
the farm.

Organic Systems were most common,


four (4) of the farmers classified
themselves as such.
No one took self-sustaining farm
system.

80% felt gratified with the income they


are receiving for their product.
20% were not satisfied with the income
they are receiving for their product.
