-World war I
Many women filled the vacancies that left the men that were at war, but women still had only
the opportunity to earn 50% in the working industries that man did.
-Interwar period
Many women ascribed to the Communist mantra because it was the only one that called and
consistently strove for a political and social equality of women. Women felt marginalized by
religious and conservative ideologies that stressed the importance of the woman as a
housewife and mother. The first Conference of Socialist (Communist) Women of 1919
symbolized the growing need that women felt for an entirely new political system. Interestingly,
a large number of bourgeois feminists even began to subscribe to the Communist view that
the emancipation of women would depend on the radical transformation of society."

-World war II
Although women were threated as equal soldiers during the war the
involvement in the government was still a mans job as well as the
decisions in the war.
-Communist Yugoslavia (1943-1990)
Despite that the communist pride themselves in gender equality and the
rates of university and other further studies to women go considerately
up the male-dominate roles still stand in the 47 year period of
communism in Yugoslavia. The divorce was one of the main advantages
that came with communism for women.
The thinking between the feminists in east Europe and west Europe were
very different since the communist denied women to have makeup and
other esthetic accessories that women in the west were represented by,
women in east Europe felt like those things didnt really represent the
true meaning of feminism.
-Yugoslavian war
During the Yugoslavian war especially the Bosnian and Kosovo war for
independence the Serbian army had been charged with crimes against
humanity for making the so called War rape in which the soldiers were
sent to rape women from those other regions with the awful purpose of
break their social bond by having a Serbian child born of rape. More than
35,000 woman and children were rape between the years of 1992 to
1999, which was the end of Kosovo war.
