4.1 Monitoring & Measurement of Process:

Basic & Detailed Engg:
1. Base document is the Drawing Control Index, which lists the design / drawings / datasheets to be
made, the time schedule for the same, approvals / co-ordinations checks for same & the flow of the
documents through the interdisciplinary depts. in order to produce the final deliverables.
2. For each of the disciplines (i.e. process, mechanical, elect, inst, civil) a preliminary design /
Datasheet / drawing is worked out, in tune with the requirements of a particular project
3. After the design / datasheet / drawing are made, it is checked interdepartmentally.
4. After departmental check the same is discussed & validated along with Customer / President /
Licensor / Proj. Dept. / R & D.
5. After concurrence, the same is released to Proj. Dept. for enquiry to Suppliers.
6. On inquiry & feedback from Supplier, and obtaining the specialized information from supplier
through Project Dept, the same is revised to make it into Technical Bid Evaluation Report, which is
reverted back to Project Dept.
7. Selected supplier will submit design / datasheet / drawing as he intends to manufacture the item
actually, including proprietary details as case may be. The control of documents is maintained in
Drawing control index.
8. This is approved by Engg.Dept, with the coordination of Proj. Dept. & released for purchase
requisition.
9. Finally, based on the inspection report available with project dept. after the equipment is
manufactured & ready, as-built drawings are submitted by Supplier, which are checked, approved &
kept on record. The record of these documents is maintained in Drawing control index.
10. All throughout the project implementation, the current revision of the document is coordinated with
other depts. for information flow. The control of documents is maintained in Drawing control index.
** All drawings are made as per ISO format, all datasheets as per Good Engineering Practice

4.7 Control of Non Conforming Product:

1. Drawing / Datasheet / Design which is not approved is scrapped & not released for further action.
2. Revision control of drawings /datasheet / design: as per Drawing Control Index
(LTL/ENGG/FM/02).
3. Commented drawings / datasheets / Designs - appropriate revisions are made after discussion with
related depts. i.e., Customer/ Licenser /PROJ/ supplier/ R & D etc. as appropriate and released. The
output is the revised drawing / datasheet / design with the next serial revision number.
4. Supplier submitted drgs./datasheets/ designs - comments are made in Red color on the original
document & after discussion with concerned dept, sent back to supplier for revision with appropriate
LTL stamp.
5. As built Drawings / Datasheets / Designs / Manuals are checked for accuracy versus the original &
kept on records.
