To Whom It May Concern,

It is my pleasure to write this letter of reference for Joshua Rocker,I was his U.S. History
teacher at Sanger High School and have known Joshua since the beginning of the last
school year. Joshua was a great asset to our class. I considered Joshua as one of my top
students from the last school year. He earned an "A" grade in both semesters and proved
that hard work and dedication does in fact pay off.
Mr. Rocker was one of the top students in our class for a variety of reasons. Firstly, he
demonstrated a great work ethic. This can be seen in the quality of work that he turned in.
Secondly, he was and is likely still very punctual, which is a characteristic that many high
school students seem to lack these days. He came to class on time every day, and if he
was absent he did not hesitate to check to see what classwork he may have missed.
Joshua is very bright and he did a great job adding meaningful conversation to our
classroom discussions.
Joshua is a hard working individual. He was very thorough in his work and will do what
ever it takes to get his assignments completed in a timely manner. Joshua was soft spoken
but did not hesitate to ask questions when he needed clarification. He worked very well
independently but was also able to collaborate with others. There were a few students that
sat near Joshua that benefited in having his as a peer. He helped these students understand

the material during lectures as well as during independent work.

Joshua has a promising future ahead of his. He is a very diligent student and it was a
pleasure to have his in my class.I am confidentthatJoshua would be a worthy candidate
for any academic or business organization that he should choose to pursue.
