It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Josué Esquivel. I worked with Josué during
his junior year as his concurrent enrollment (CE) psychology teacher and he is currently in my CE human
development class. Josué is an exceptionally intelligent young man who shows absolute dedication in his
attendance, efforts, and accomplishments in my courses. He is an excellent writer, and his signature assignment in
psychology demonstrated outstanding skills in research, analysis, and application of the principles we were
learning.

In addition to his success in my classes, Josué has immersed himself in our early college program at Weber State
University. This program allows students to attend the university along with regular college-aged students during
their high school years. I have watched many very capable students struggle with so much responsibility, but Josué
has thrived in this challenging environment and is on track to earn his associate degree by the time he graduates
from high school. He plans to pursue a degree in mathematics and business.

In addition to his excellence in my courses, Josué has spent time tutoring kids in his neighborhood, and has
developed a passion for videography and photography as well as editing. He treats those around him with complete
respect and compassion. He is also completely bilingual (English/Spanish).

As an educator who has worked for over 19 years in a rigorous early college high school which attracts highly
motivated, intelligent students from a large area, I have taught a considerable number of gifted young people.
Without question, Josué is one of the very top students in this already exceptional group. He is an ideal example of
self-discipline, intellectual curiosity, kindness toward others, and ambition. I have been so impressed with Josué,
that I was the one who offered to write him a letter of recommendation after seeing his exceptional work in
psychology. Simply put, it has been an honor for me to be a part of his educational experience, and I am confident
that he will be an asset to the university which he ultimately chooses to attend. Please give this peerless young man
the attention he deserves when considering applicants for admission into your quality institution. Without
