To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Jenna White. I
have known Jenna in the capacity of a professor and the coordinator of the Physical Education
Single Subject program at CSULB. Jenna completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology
and her credential in physical education at CSULB.

For her student teaching Jenna taught at Sowers Middle School in the Huntington Beach
under the mentorship of Ravi Sohoni. In her mid-term evaluation (the final evaluation is due
June 10th), her cooperating teacher stated that “Jenna sets a very positive setting in her class and
is an excellent role model with her active classroom presence. She is very energetic and shows a
love for the subject matter she is teaching.” He also referenced Jenna’s ability to plan her lessons
stating that “Jenna demonstrates great organizational and planning throughout each one of her
lesson.”

Her university supervisor (Jeff Ingram) stated in his final evaluation that Jenna had a
great working relationship with her master teacher (Mr. Sohoni). He also indicated that Jenna
created and maintained an effective learning environment in her classes and stated “Jenna has a
calm demeanor when teaching her K-12 students. She understands the period of life they are in
and plans accordingly. She does not get upset if she has to deal with a behavior issue.” Jeff
Ingram also referenced Jenna’s ability to plan instruction that meets the needs of all or her
students. He stated that “Jenna was a great student teacher.”

From reviewing her transcripts in the credential program at CSULB, Jenna was a straight
A student and obtained a 4.0 gpa for her credential coursework. Additionally, as a Kinesiology
undergraduate student Jenna studied at the University of Woolongong, New South Wales,
Australia for the Spring 2016 semester.

In addition to her credential teaching experience, Jenna has an extensive background as

Teaching Assistant in the Kinesiology Department at CSULB. Additionally, she has worked as a
Life Fit Trainer and a variety of fitness and training positions while she was studying in Australia.
She is capable, talented and well prepared to teach.

If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone
(562) 985-7344 or preferably by e-mail emyr.williams@csulb.edu. It is my opinion that Jenna
will be an asset to any physical education program and will contribute enormously to any district
and school fortunate to hire her.

Sincerely,

E W Williams
