To Whom It May Concern:

I am extremely pleased to recommend Joseph Lema. I have known Joseph for nearly four years,
and during that time I have found him to be a good student and an excellent citizen. I know
Joseph to be, extremely capable young individual who will certainly accomplish his goals. I am
also confident that Joseph will achieve at a very high academic level in his college career.
Certainly, Joseph is exceedingly bright and highly motivated to succeed.

Joseph is not only a excellent citizen, he is also a strong academic athlete. Joseph has maintained
a 3.02 grade point average overall, has excelled in football and been a valuable part of the FFA
program at El Capitan High school all four years. For his final year of high school he has
continued to push himself academically and taking classes needed to continue his education in a
four year college. At the end of the 1st semester he received 4 As and 2 Bs, demonstrating to me
that he has his future in mind. Not an easy accomplishment for any student. Ive always admired
his tenacity and determination to succeed in the classroom as well as on the field.

In addition to his outstanding academic and athletic ability Joseph has been involved in some
type of school leadership since the start of his freshman year at El Capitan High school. Joseph
was a part of the 1st ever leadership class at El Capitan High school. He helped pave the way to
creating a fun and spirited school environment. As important as his outstanding character is, I
believe that his greatest quality is his maturity. This is evident in his ability to assume the greater
part of the responsibility for planning his education, establishing his goals, and preparing for
college. Joseph has taken the initiative and made appointments with me to discuss his classes,
career goals, and college. He shared with me that he is interested in being a game warden. A goal
that I can see Joseph attaining with the work ethic that he possesses.

Finally, I know that Joseph is anxious to continue his education beyond high school.
Joseph is truly a fine young individual. He is dedicated to learning and works very hard to
accomplish his goals, both academic and personal. Therefore, I am very pleased to recommend
Joseph.
