RE: Valerie Bellows

Tenure Track Art Teacher Position

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter in enthusiastic support of Valerie Bellows. I have gotten to know Ms. Bellows over the
past 5 years in the Passaic City School District where I oversaw her work as a Fine Arts teacher. Ms. Bellows'
education reflects her professional qualifications and achievements. In my opinion; however, it is her love for
teaching and learning, which shines and stands out.

My experience with Ms. Bellows has taught me that she is a consummate professional who works
tirelessly in supervising, overseeing and facilitating instruction to a student population of diverse
socioeconomic backgrounds, abilities, and cultures. Her dedication to her students is not only in the
classroom. She also serves as advisor to student clubs, and has collaborated in developing and
implementing curriculum and assessments for high school Introduction to Fine Arts.

Ms. Bellows has coordinated and collaborated on a variety of student lead art showcases, virtual galleries,
STEAM week events, and various SEL workshops to highlight the importance of the arts across and within
disciplines. In addition, she has experience in managing departmental inventory, organization, efficacy and
cost of supplies for all art classes within the academy.

As an educator, I can attest to the challenges we face in ensuring rigorous, coherent instructional
experiences for our students. Ms. Bellows has always impressed me with her professional and personable
skills necessary to navigate in the ever-changing world of education. It is not surprising that Ms. Bellows
students genuinely care for her, as she does for them.

Ms. Bellows has very good written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, can work
independently and is able to follow through to ensure that her duties; including but not limited to,
teaching, curriculum, discipline, instruction, climate and culture and student achievement are met on a
daily basis. Ms. Bellows is always willing to offer her assistance as necessary and has an excellent rapport
with parents, colleagues and the students served by our school district.

I am confident that Ms. Bellows will be an asset to your school and it is my hope that you afford her the
opportunity to be a part of your school district. You will not regret it.

Feel free to contact me if you require further information.

Attentively, Dr. L. Lorén Barbosa,

Principal Vincent Capuana
