RE: Recommendation for Keegan Heer
To whom it may concern,
As a Robotics and Engineering teacher and a senior project mentor at Santa Susana High School, I have
had the pleasure of working with Keegan Heer for the past two years. I have had Keegan as a student in
my class Robotics and Engineering class and I am currently serving as his advisor for his Senior Project
at Santa Susana High School
Keegan has demonstrated that he is very willing to think outside of the box. In the engineering and
robotics class, he would often develop designs that were unique from the rest of the designs. For
example, when the students were given the task to design a trebuchet, most students went with a
standard design of having a beam with a counter weight being supported by one pivot point. Keegans
group, on the other hand, created a design where the counter weight was still balanced off of a singular
pivot point but that point moved during the launch process.
Keegan is very passionate and driven in the field of engineering and computer science. For his senior
project, he chose to design, build, and program a quadcopter. To design the quadcopter, Keegan will
utilize Autodesk Inventor to model the body and the propellers and then he will use a 3D printer to print
the models. After the parts are designed and printed, Keegan will assemble and program the quadcopter
using baseflight-configurator.
I strongly recommend Keegan Heer. He is inquisitive, personable and determined to succeed.
Sincerely,

Emily Lewis
