To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Brennan Michalowski for two years. She is a former math student of mine.
Brennan successfully completed Geometry B Pre AP as well as Algebra II A/B Pre AP. She
earned an A average in both of the courses. I found Brennan to be an extremely motivated and
dedicated student.
When Brennan first arrived to my class, she was rather uncertain of her math abilities.
She knew she was bright enough to be a good student, but had no idea just how smart and
creative she was in this area. Brennan did not understand how to write good notes nor did she
realize just how important a skill it is to have. By the time she completed her math courses,
Brennan not only knew how to take notes, she encouraged others in the class to do the same
by showing them her tablet of notes. This was very good for her because this led to her high
marks on assignments, tests, and final exams.
This is not to say that Brennan did not have some struggles with pieces of the material.
but this did not deter her from pursuing and taking on the challenge of the difficulties in
mathematics. She would not settle for average grades. She pushed herself to make As on her
assignments and tests. She never gave up on herself and the goals she had set. When she
came upon obstacles in the road, she worked even harder to get through them. She may even
have put a bit of stress on herself, but she didnt let that break her either.
By the time Brennan was finished with Algebra II, she was not only ready to take on Pre
Calculus Pre AP, but she had the drive and the confidence to do it. I have every reason to
believe that Brennan will not only be an asset to your program, but she will make things happen
for herself and others that will make a change in this world. I know Brennan will be the ultimate
scholar at the university of her choice. I expect to hear great things from this young woman. She
is a star in the sky waiting to be brighten her light on the world.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any concerns. I will be more than happy
to answer any questions regarding Brennan.
