Weekly Highlights
I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend this week!
Our week in school may have went by very fast but we
learned so much!

Homework
Homework will come home on Fridays and is
due back the following Thursday.

In reading workshop, we moved into our next unit of

Readers Have Big Jobs to Do: Fluency, Phonics, and
Comprehension. First we reviewed what to do when we
come to a tricky word in a book we are reading as we
become the boss of our reading! We learned to STOP at
the first sign of trouble, try something we know first from
our toolkit, and then learned that if we still cant solve a
word we need to keep trying by trying something ELSE!
In writing workshop, we continued to explore and write
our own reviews. Lessons included editing and revising
to be sure our pieces are not too long or too short,
reviewed our partners reviews and ended the week with
a book review talk!
