Summer Camp Director

Job Description
Hiring Supervisor: Kate Sigurdson
Direct Supervisor: Recreation Director
Date position begins: April minimal hours for hiring only
Program preparations begin May 2016 (part time)
Camp Sessions Begin: June 27th (full time)

Wage Range: up to $15/ hour- negotiable based on education and
experience
Position Responsibilities: The Camp Director will be responsible for
overseeing the daily management and leadership of the Randolph Summer
Camp. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, staffing, staff
training, supervision of staff, program quality, policy and procedures, risk
management, parent communication, program schedule and implementation,
record keeping, plan and coordinate field trips, sports clinics, and pool
activities, coordinate supplies, ground maintenance and upkeep. The Camp
Director will work with the Recreation Director to provide a well-planned,
safe, educational and interactive experience for all involved.
Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age. Bring to the position an
educational or experiential background suited to the requirements of the
position. The Camp Director must have a broad knowledge of program
planning and implementation for a variety of ages and abilities. Strong
communication skills and experience in staff management and supervision.
Ability to build connections within the community in an effort to develop
partnerships. An outgoing personality with the initiative to provide an
outstanding program and lead a team that will excel. Enjoy and appreciate
children and value their needs in a recreation setting.
Other Information: Must be willing to become certified in CPR/ First Aid
and AED.
