Always begin by resetting the router/modem to factory settings.

1. Go to http://192.168.0.1
2. Login (by default the username is left blank and the password is admin).
3. Click Wireless.
4. Type in a name for the wireless network (replace THOMSON with any name you wish to
have). Interface has to be enabled.
5. (Optional) change the wireless channel (we recommend channels 1, 6 and 11).
6. Save the settings by clicking Apply.
7. Click Security from the left-hand side.
8. Select Enabled for WPA-PSK.
9. Type in any (minimum 8 character) password for the wireless network in the WPA Pre-Shared
Key field.
10. Save the settings by clicking Apply. Restart the device.
11. In case you use any file sharing programs, its recommended disable IP Flood detection and
Firewall Protection from the Firewall tab (Web Filter menu). Those slow down your connection
and sometimes cause stability issues in the connection.
