September, Leon Trotsky becomes president, leader
of the Red Guards.
April, German government helped Lenin return.
July, Government tries to take power in the
revolution called the July Days.
August, Pro-Tsarist general Kornilov leads a revolt
against the Provisional Government.
6th of November, Trotskys Red Guard cuts off
Petrograd from the rest of Russia.

Impact of the change


Start of communist rule in Russia
Communism was when everyone had equal
distribution of rights
Big increase in support for the Bolsheviks.
Soviet: A ruling council elected by workers,
soldiers, and sailors
Lenin intended for Bolsheviks to rule the
Soviets, which would rule Russia.
